I Highly Recommend S.D.W. for Renovation Work

The Delta Calgary undertook 2 years of renovations from 2016 to 2018. S.D.W. acted as general contractor for all the renovations which began with 8 floors of guest rooms, guest hallways, public areas, including lobby, pool area and fitness rooms. S.D.W performed the task on time and on budget and throughout they provided creative and cost-conscious solutions to the unforeseen challenges that arose. Following the initial contract the hotel retained S.D.W. as GC for our banquet renovations and some exterior work. All work was provided at a high level, meeting with our timelines and budgets. They found creative ways to reduce cost and value-engineer the project. The hotel has retained S.D.W. to renovate three food and beverage outlets later in 2018. They are acting in the capacity of general contractor and project manager, performing design-build services, working directly with the designer and the hotel. Throughout the two years we’ve been working with S.D.W., we have found them to be trustworthy, timely, committed to high-quality work, responsive when there are issues and creative to finding solutions to any challenges. I highly recommend S.D.W. for any renovation work.

High Level of Care They Put Into Each Detail

I engaged S.D.W.Contracting on two separate occasions. The first job was to build a garage and the finished product is outstanding. The crew was on site as scheduled and progress was made every day. I was very happy to see their attention to detail and cleanup. The second job was an interior renovation that included adding in a recessed drywall, to house a large flat screen television and rebuilding the fireplace. The end product is again outstanding. Being present during some of the work, I noticed a high level of care they put into each detail. And again, daily cleanup was made a priority and was much appreciated. I will certainly hire S.D.W. again as my lifestyle changes and I need those types of services.

Great Job in a Very Short Time

In the spring of 2011, we had been renovating our basement for about 9 months. We did not feel comfortable with drywall and taping as we wanted to bring in someone with experience who wouldn't take too long to get the job done. I phoned three different companies and one of those companies recommended S.D.W Contracting. Another company I called was too busy to do our job and said Steve and his crew at S.D.W. do a good job and are clean and reliable. I called S.D.W. along with two other companies for quotes. The best quote was S.D.W’s and they mentioned they could start in a timely manner. Needless to say, we tried S.D.W Contracting Ltd. They were on time and early on days we had arranged. They were respectful of our house and yard and kept the job site clean. They did a great job in a very short period of time. We had them do our ceilings too and the knock down texture that they recommended turned out to be better than we could have hoped. They looked at our paint choices and said that they were great and even offered to get us the paint at a great deal. It was better quality paint than we could have got locally and at a cheaper price. They gave us paintbrush techniques and recommended brushes. The paint job our friends helped us with is probably not as great as SD.W. would have done, but we are happy. I recommend S.D.W to our friends and can't say enough good things about the job they did for us. When we decide to paint our main floor, we will get them in. I appreciate their work ethic, reliability and pricing. Thanks Steve and crew for doing an awesome job.
